It's been awhile since the last time I updated my blog. Work, like most of 2020 for the globe has been a bit erratic and challenging. I think the most significant news of the year so far was that after a few months of swirling around and trying to adapt to our changing lives, Heidi and I decided we were going to get out of the funk and start getting out even more than we used to, this time more as a family.
In July, I sold our 1974 5th wheel camper trailer, and bought a new enclosed trailer to build a toy hauler for our bikes and all our gear, with the idea that we'd build it out to live in while traveling. So for a few weeks I worked around the clock, revisiting my carpentry skills and suffering the absence of keeping it honed over the years (i.e. many mistakes were made).
After spending a bit more than our allocated budget (and still climbing), we were on the road. For the last 7 weeks, we've been living our best covid dreams traveling each week around the states.
