I'm a full-time photographer, climber, skier, enduro rider, musician, and my family's biggest fan. I've been climbing for almost 30 years and working professionally in the outdoor industry since the early 90's. Over the decades, my zest for life has taken me to beautiful places, allowed me to meet and work with amazing people, travel through extraordinary experiences, and given me unique and dynamic perspectives.
In addition to photography and videography, I also provide graphic design and event management/hosting/emceeing/consulting services. And while you can see my work across the outdoor industries and major publications, you'll also find me shooting a variety of events, venues, and even the local winery.
Through my experiences, I've learned that collaboration, community, and synergy truly matters most and puts me in that happy place. Contact me and let's make it happen.

More about me:
I was born in Saigon, Vietnam in the 70's and came to America with my mother in the early 80's, growing up in southwestern Virginia before I moved out west on my own in 1994.
At 3 years old, my family and I were torn apart from the Vietnam war and were placed in reeducation camps not once, but twice. Managing to escape the second time, my mother had to make the difficult decision to leave her 3 other children and take only her youngest one, me. We were able to get on a small, overloaded fishing boat to embark on an arduous 10 day journey to Malaysia where we were placed in a refugee camp. It wasn't until after 12 months that we were able to be sponsored to come to America.
My life with my mother over the 80's till present is rich with so many chapters. We are currently working on an autobiography and hope to share our story someday. Please check out my current project: Outdoor Refugee Trust : my passion project to provide the opportunities for first-generation refugees like myself, to get outside and experience life beyond the urban setting.
I would love to say that I've been shooting my whole life, but when I received my first camera around 1991, I was a teenager and climbing, traveling, and having the time of my life took precedence over anything else. With a brief stint starting a publication with some friends in college, it wasn't until the late 2000's that photography started consuming me.
Since that time, I've been proud to have been featured in publications like Rock & Ice, Climbing, and Alpinist magazines. I've worked freelance for guidebook images, engagements, weddings, and local to national events. Creative work has also played a part in my life, led by my life partner, Heidi Allen of EZ Peasy Graphic Design.
In addition to my photography work, I've worked several years in marketing, and dedicate a large amount of my time giving back to the community as Board of Directors for the Northwest Avalanche Center, staff member of the American Alpine Club, as well as a former long time board member of the Washington Climbers Coalition and the Washington Anchor Replacement Project. I'm sponsored as an athlete, ambassador, and influencer for Gore Products, f-Stop Gear, Pigeon Mountain Industries, Mad Rock Climbing, and Trayvax Enterprises.
