"After a few years of deliberation, I'm excited to announce that I've finally made the leap to pursue the dream of taking my media work full time.

This move couldn't have happened without the support of my amazing family, friends, and businesses who have always believed and inspired me to grow over the years.

I'm looking forward to continuing and growing relationships through my photography, media production, and event management/consulting services. Please join me in my new adventure!

That was my announcement to the world this morning. Getting ready for (as it feels to me) taking on the world with the excitement, the anxiety of starting my own business, and- as the last quote from above sums up- throwing off the proverbial bowlines.

This day marks the beginning of a life that I've been dreaming about for a long time. It's not completely about working for myself, but to find ways to keep myself active and in the outdoors. I often fall back on the memory of when I was in my second year after coming to America. I was in kindergarten, and the teacher was going around the room asking the kids what they wanted to be when they grew up. Some wanted to be actors, doctors, lawyers, and even the president. When it came to be my turn, I said what truly came from my heart, and to the chagrin of Sister Mary (forgot to mention I was in Catholic school): "when I grow up, I just want to be outside."

Being a parent now, I've learned that kids definitely say the darnedest things. But they were words that I've always kept close and pursued for most of my life.

If you're reading this, I want to thank you for following me, and taking the time to find out who I am, as well as the work that I do. Moving forward, it's my plan to have Truc Allen Media continue as a place for an array of authentic outdoor life imagery, but also to develop its own stock imagery resource, media production content, and a place for housing the relationships with clients.

I'll be updating my website a bit more frequently, so please check back soon!

Thanks again,

Truc
